Devon County Council and chair of the ADEPT National Bridges Group , chief engineer (Bridges & Structures)

Kevin is Chief Bridge Engineer responsible for a large in-house consultancy within Devon County Council and leads a team of 40 Engineers and technicians who undertake all aspects of bridge management and design. Devon has over 3000 highway bridges and 1700 retaining walls with a combined asset value of well over £1.3 billion.

Kevin graduated from Plymouth in 1984, gained chartered status in 1988 and became a Fellow of the ICE in 2016.

An active member of the ADEPT Bridges group for many years he recently took over the chair of the National Group from Liz Kirkham. Kevin is also a member of the UK Bridges Board and has been a member of several project steering groups overseeing the development of industry guidance documents such as CIRIA C742 (Manual on scour at bridges and other hydraulic structures) and the recently published C778 (Management of safety critical fixings)
